Alternative service
Since the 2019/20 school year, Buchrain School has been a company recognized by the Civilian Service. Community service workers are mainly employed as assistants in the following areas
- Assistance in teaching: Supporting teachers in the promotion and training of learners, especially children and young people with learning difficulties, behavioral problems, social challenges or physical impairments. This assistance is provided during lessons as well as on excursions and at class camps.
- Assistance in the area of supplementary school and family care: Relief in the care and supervision of children and young people as well as assistance with tasks and learning support in order to support the educational teams.
- Support in the area of school infrastructure: Assistance with administrative tasks in school administration and with caretaking tasks, such as cleaning work and maintaining the school environment.
The assignments take place at primary and secondary school level, with personnel responsibility lying with the school management.
