Ready, Set, Go!

This week is all systems go as we launch into our school project ‘Buchrain GoesInternational’.

With support from Dr. phil. Silvia Frank Schmid, the founder of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning), our project teachers are beginning their integrated English teaching journey. In the experimental stage of our project, three classes within our school will be learning English withnative speaking teachers. Our English teachers will team teach Englishalongside class teachers and will also engage the children in Music, Sports andHandwork. So far, the children have been ecstatic to be gifted the opportunityto learn from native speakers and have been giving their best efforts in thelanguage classes. As the project gains momentum, involved teachers will use their expertise to unearth the best philosophy to better grow our language education and prepare our students for the ever-changing world ahead of them.

We are excited to see what opportunities and challenges we will face as webegin building a foundation of integrated English learning that may, perhaps,pave the way for schools nationally.
